Some 20 miles north of Blairgowrie, at Spittal of Glenshee, Spittal of Glenshee Gulabin Lodge, Tel. 885255, a hostel/bunkhouse run by Cairnwell Mountain sports which rents out skis, boards and mountain bikes and also gives skiing tuition. Nearby is one of the area's top hotels, Dalmunzie House Hotel, Tel. 885224, a grand old Highland sporting lodge set in a 6,000-acre estate and boasting the highest 9-hole golf course in Britain.
Glenshee Skiing Resort
Glenshee is Scotland's largest ski resort spread over 3 valleys. All eqipment can be hired at the ski centre. The resort could do with an upgrade but this is not helped by the lack of snow over the years.
