Surrounded by highland lochside, forests and mountain scenery you are still in driving distance of Pitlochry, Perth Theatre, Aberfeldy, Blair Castle and many Scotch malt whisky distilleries. Scottish countryside at its finest and most diverse, not just affording fantastic car and motor bike 'big country' touring and walking of all grades, but so many country sports and adventure opportunities of such high quality, you could be excused for thinking you had all of Scotland on your doorstep here.
All the bedrooms have recently been refurbished with a very Scottish theme and with comfort in mind rather than modernity. Some rooms are now classed by whisky terminology and you can opt for Blend Rooms or the posher Malt Rooms; there are splendid Monarch Four Poster Rooms, or the Robertson Room at the upper end of the comfort scale. Many rooms feature four posters, queen and king sized and larger than normal beds, and the Rob Roy Room has to be the crowning glory of a wonderful array of accommodation. All rooms are ensuite, have controllable heating, colour televisions with satellite channels, hair dryers and hospitality trays and many boast fine views over the village and surrounding countryside.
You can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in the excellent wood-panelled restaurant, Schiehallion. It has a very 'highland' character with a roaring log fire in a feature fireplace. It gives you a lovely culinary experience, enhanced and complemented by the soft acoustics and intimate character of our restaurant. Candlelit romance and well spaced large tables add to the experience.
After dinner you can retire to the Whisky Bar and enjoy a true Scottish experience savouring a whisky or two and soak up its light hearted charm and intimate character. Or if you prefer you can visit our quaint little stone country pub which lies across the hotel courtyard in a converted stone barn giving it a gloriously rustic, rather addictive ambience only enhanced by the roaring open log fire and the sheer conviviality and friendliness of the local population who are so welcoming to visitors and enjoy many a crack or a yarn with them usually over some 'golden liquid'! And on sports nights, the large, state of the art plasma screen provides touchline viewing and atmosphere!
