Cliff Jumping in Scotland

Cliff Jumping
Cliff Jumping

Well Cliff Jumping is pretty self explanatory. You find a huge cliff and throw yourself off and into a deep pool of water.

This is the principle but at Travel Scotland we use extremely experienced operators that provide all equipment safety training and a detailed explanation of the day ahead.

This activity is for the slightly delusional because you must be a bit crazy to give it a go, but if you do, you’ll not stop talking about it for years. The trained operators know every part of the course they use, which can be changed if you are experienced in the sport of throwing your body from a 20ft cliff.[1]

The buzz on this activity is at a maximum, you are taking yourself into the heart of fantastic countryside and then participating in a sport that as a child you would have no problem conquering but as a adult the biggest battle is saying yes I will jump over this 20ft edge, but when you do it WOW it is amazing and you will be the first to scramble straight out of the water and off the next cliff I promise. If your really brave or mad you can try jumping of the ultimate cliff with a staggering height of 60 feet. [2]

You will be taught how to enter the water correctly so you don’t hurt yourself. The secret to a successful landing in the water is to be as straight as a ruler, clench your bum (always good advice) and keep your hands away from your face.

All the equipment is supplied wet suites etc, but it’s probably best to bring some old trainers and a towel too.

When you can cliff jump In Scotland

You can do it from May to October and the cost is from £30 to £45 per person. If you are organising a group booking and want a full day out why not combine Cliff Jumping with Rafting or River Bugging
